We offer practical training courses for a wide range of practitioners lasting 1-5 days.

“I’ve learned lots of group facilitation techniques that I would love to incorporate into my own practice. The instantaneous satisfaction of getting right into the music from the get go…finding ways for that to happen quickly, not always using notation drilling.” – name of person “Great to spend a full day with like minded colleagues. Its helped me develop in leading an improvisation, and how to create songs and pieces with teenagers, and to develop new ideas for orchestra and my cello groups’

“I have learned I can still try new things that I might have avoided in the past, that I have more confidence at times than I give myself credit for –  to trust in myself more”

“The buddy teaching and warm up exercises were very effective and they will both be something I will incorporate into future classes.”

“Jam Bands has given me a much more informal approach to music-making. Having been pretty much immersed in ‘playing by sheet’ all my life, it’s given me a new approach to playing and allowing myself, and my students, develop creativity and expression by stepping away from The Book. Networking and seeing different approaches to warm-ups, pedagogy and methods have also been invaluable. The training received was first-class from a thoroughly-knowledgeable, highly-experienced, motivated, motivating and ambitious team! A truly excellent experience.”
