Info for Participants in Derry/Londonderry – what you need
Welcome to the At Sixes and Sevens Project
We are delighted to welcome you to this project as part of the U.K. City of Culture 2013. Your involvement is one of the things that is going to make it very special.
From this point on you will be part of the team that is writing a main part of the final performance for the 3rd July 2013 in the Guildhall, Derry/Londonderry. Your original work will be performed by you alongside the poetry of Paul Muldoon, the music of Mark Anthony Turnage, Barbican/Guildhall Creative Learning, Camerata Ireland and the London Symphony Orchestra.
We are excited by the project and hope that you are too. You are meant to enjoy yourself, to play, be creative and if needs be challenge ideas in a spirit of positive collaboration. Your part in this also carries some responsibilities too. We would expect that to take part in this successfully you will:
- Be at all of the workshop days and rehearsals (any problems just talk to us – we will be understanding)
- Remember all ideas are good
- Treat others as you would expect to be treated yourself
- Contribute your ideas and energy
- Be a positive champion for the project and your fellow band members.
You can expect the same from us.
The latest timetable and key information about what you need for all workshops/rehearsals is available to download here
The Verbal Arts Centre and project partners have a child protection policy in place which is available on request.
