Apple Hill Returns

Our friends the Apple Hill String Quartet from New Hampshire USA are returning to Donegal 14-16 December 2012 for their annual chamber music workshop and concerts. A firm favourite with classical musicians from across the island of Ireland the residential weekend workshop will once again take place in the Outdoor Education Centre in Gartan, Churchill, Co. Donegal. Really worth taking part in if you can.

The Apple Hill String Quartet will also perform a public concert in Conwal Parish Church, Letterkenny on Saturday 15th December at 7pm. The concert programme is:

Tangos by WEILL,STRAVINSKY and PIAZZOLA
BRAHMS A-Minor String Quartet Op51, no 2

The quartet has been coming to Donegal for a number of years and their commitment to young musicians from the area has been significant bringing a number of them to take part in the Apple Hill Summer Chamber Music Workshop in the 100 acre Apple Hill Campus.

Weekend course is residential commencing 6pm Friday 14th December concluding with student concert Sunday 3pm. Course fee  includes accommodation, meal, tuition and admission to Apple Hill String Quartet public concert.
